In this episode of the Ashley Avis Podcast, I share my latest experiment: converting Instagram followers into clients using a free webinar.
I want to share with you the step-by-step process I used, which tools I used to run the webinar and convert my followers into email subscribers.
I may be sharing too much info here, but I will teach you how with just one Instagram post I turned my 2739 Instagram followers into 40 new email subscribers, booked 3 sales calls, and sold 2 coaching packages.

How easy this process was
Using very little promotion on IG (and on a long weekend) I was able to have amazing outreach
Initial Step
With 2,739 followers on Instagram, I posted a vague announcement about a free online marketing training.
The post included a picture of myself with the text overlay.
I asked two friends to share the post, which increased the post's reach.
Using Automation:
In the post caption, I instructed my followers to comment "ME" to receive the webinar invite.
I used ManyChat to automate responses and direct interested users to a Flodesk opt-in form.
This strategy added 40 new subscribers to my email list in one week.
Promotion and Reminders:
I shared the webinar sign up link (aka Flodesk opt-in form) in my Instagram stories and emailed my existing email list to join the webinar.
I sent reminder emails to ensure maximum live attendance (even on a long weekend I had good results! :) )
Creating the Webinar:
I used Canva to create a simple presentation.
The webinar focused on the four pillars of marketing, common mistakes, and actionable tips- stuff I say all the time and is beginner friendly.
Sales Pitch and Follow-Up:
At the end of the webinar, I introduced my Social Superstar coaching program.
I offered a free 30-minute consultation through Calendly.
Post-webinar, I sent the recording and booking link to all RSVPs.
What were my Results:
Out of 40 RSVPs, 6 attended live.
I booked 3 calls and sold 2 coaching packages.
Even with a small following, this webinar proved to be very effective for this approach.
